Su director, Steve Rix, inventor del motor que utilizan actualmente muchos fabricantes de atomizadores rotativos de alta velocidad, contact\u00f3 con Ricoh para explorar c\u00f3mo la impresi\u00f3n 3D podr\u00eda hacer realidad sus ambiciones de mejorar el rendimiento. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>La soluci\u00f3n<\/strong> | Los atomizadores rotativos se utilizan en la industria minera o de la construcci\u00f3n para la supresi\u00f3n de polvo, el control de olores, la humidificaci\u00f3n y el enfriamiento adiab\u00e1tico.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Lo hacen atomizando y rociando grandes vol\u00famenes de niebla ultrafina y de bajo impacto sobre el \u00e1rea.<\/p>\n\n<p>Future Engineering Developments hab\u00eda ideado tres soluciones de dise\u00f1o innovadoras para la gama MicroMist\u2122. La complejidad de las geometr\u00edas de los dise\u00f1os dificultaba, si no imposibilitaba, su fabricaci\u00f3n mediante cualquier m\u00e9todo que no fuera la impresi\u00f3n 3D. <\/p>\n\n<p>En colaboraci\u00f3n con los expertos en dise\u00f1o de Ricoh, la impresi\u00f3n 3D brind\u00f3 al dise\u00f1ador la libertad de crear exactamente lo necesario para un rendimiento \u00f3ptimo de la pieza. Se eliminaron las limitaciones t\u00edpicas de la fabricaci\u00f3n tradicional de moldes individuales y el alto coste de las herramientas, lo que dio como resultado una soluci\u00f3n altamente innovadora. <\/p>\n\n<p>Ricoh identific\u00f3 que el material m\u00e1s eficaz para esta aplicaci\u00f3n ser\u00eda el polipropileno para la impresi\u00f3n 3D, ya que se prestaba a un producto ligero pero ultrarresistente, reduciendo la masa rotatoria del atomizador en 50 g en comparaci\u00f3n con un equivalente de nailon 12.
